Who we are

MedBandhu provides cloud hospital management software for hospitals, nursing homes and clinics in India. We have offices in Ranchi, Jharkhand and Kolkata, West Bengal. You can reach us at hello@medbandhu.com.

Data we collect from visitors and leads

• Demo request form: your name, hospital or clinic name, city, number of beds, mobile number and whether you prefer an online or on-site demo
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email
• The page you were on when you contacted us, so we know which page helped
• Basic technical data such as pages visited and the type of device and browser, through cookies and, where switched on, analytics tools

How we use it

• To contact you about the demo or information you asked for
• To answer your questions and give support
• To understand which pages are useful and improve this website

Cookies

We use a few cookies. A session cookie and a security token keep forms and logins working. A language cookie remembers whether you chose English or Hindi, for up to one year. If analytics is switched on, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager sets cookies that tell us how pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features such as login need the session cookie.

Patient and staff data inside the software

• Hospitals own and control the patient, staff and billing data they enter. The hospital decides why and how that data is used; MedBandhu processes it on the hospital's behalf, only to provide the service.
• Each hospital's data is kept separate from every other hospital's.
• We do not sell, rent or share hospital data.
• Our team accesses a hospital's data only to give support the hospital asks for, to keep the service running, or where the law requires.
• Each hospital is responsible for having a lawful basis, and where needed patient consent, for the data it records.

Where data is stored

Data is stored on servers located in India.

Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers we need to run MedBandhu, such as our hosting and email providers, WhatsApp when you message us there, and Google Analytics if switched on. They may process data only for those purposes. We may also disclose data when a law or a court requires it. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep demo request details while we follow up and for a reasonable time afterwards, then delete or anonymise them, or sooner if you ask. Hospital data is kept while the hospital uses MedBandhu. After you leave, we give you a copy on request and then delete the data within a reasonable period.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw your consent, and make a complaint. Write to hello@medbandhu.com with the subject "Privacy request". We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are a patient of a hospital that uses MedBandhu, please contact that hospital, because it holds and controls your records.

Security

We use role-based access, protected passwords, encrypted connections and separate data for every hospital. Read more on our data security page. No system is perfectly secure, and if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell the affected hospital or person as the law requires.

Children

This website is not meant for children. Hospitals may record children's details as patients; that data is handled as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on this website.
